There is always wild speculation about who Satoshi Nakamoto is. So far it is not even clear whether it was just one person or an entire group of developers. But one thing is fact: the first bitcoins were mined in 2009. And exactly 50 of these bitcoins have now been moved to another wallet.
Bitcoins were mined in February 2009 - from Satoshi?
This afternoon, an emergency news made the round in the crypto community. 50 bitcoins that were mined over 10 years ago found their way into a new wallet. The bitcoins, worth a total of almost USD 500.000, are causing wild speculation. Is it a wallet belonging to the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin?
The moving bitcoins were mined on February 9, 2009. For comparison: the Genesis block was mined on January 3, 2009. At that time, there were only a few people who ever heard of Bitcoin. There were no exchanges, no crypto traders and certainly no ICOs or the like. In addition, Bitcoin was virtually worthless at the time. In 2010, a bitcoin user proudly posted that he had just ordered 2 pizzas for 10.000 bitcoins. Today you can only joke about it.
The community became aware of the transfer through a message from the popular Twitter account @whale_alert, who regularly tweets about transfers with particularly large amounts:
👤👤👤 40 #BTC ($ 391,055) transferred from possible the #Satosh owned wallet (dormant since 2009) to unknown wallet
coins The coins in this transaction were mined in the first month of Bitcoin's existence.

Community is looking for clues to confirm Satoshi identity
The community immediately started looking for possible clues that might indicate Satoshi. So far, there is nothing to suggest that it is a wallet by Satoshi Nakamoto personally. The community at that time was still very small, but the fact is that there were other people apart from Satoshi who mined bitcoins - even if there weren't many. @WhalePanda points out on Twitter that there were already several miners in 2009:
Just for the record: this is not a known Satoshi address or anything. There were multiple miners even back then.
